Rylie Reviews: Uggs Shopping Haul! Are they worth it?

For many years, I had been on the fence with regards to Ugg boots. I always thought they were really expensive--way more than I would typically consider spending on a pair of shoes/boots. Not to mention the whole criticism over Uggs being a whole fashion faux pas. So, for years I never bought them. After all, I lived in Florida anyway so I never had a need to buy them (or any boots for that matter). Now thats not saying we didn't have people in south Florida walking around in Uggs--we did; and they would often pair them with short shorts. I always said--if its cold enough to wear Uggs, it is certainly not warm enough to wear shorts!

Well, fast-forward a few years and now I find myself living in New York and really needing a good pair of winter boots. Being my frugal self, I bought a very inexpensive knock-off version of Uggs. I figured the cheaper version would be just as good and I would save the money. However, I quickly learned that sometimes the old adage "you get what you pay for" can be very true. Basically, the rubber sole was completely hallow (I suppose as a way for the manufacturer to cut costs) which means it wore down quickly and then cracked open. This meant then that whenever I walked in wet, melting snow, icy cold water would seep into my boot!

After that negative experience with the cheap knock-offs, I deceived to splurge and spend the money for a quality product and buy the Uggs. I bought my first pair of Uggs, the Triple Bailey Button, about a year ago. I absolutely love them. The quality is top-notch and well worth the extra cost. Not only is it nice to have a higher quality, more comfortable boot, they have already lasted me much longer then the cheap knock-offs. So over time, the Uggs may end up being a more cost-effective option because I won't have to replace them as often.

Now that I am an official Ugg-convert, I started looking for a new pair. I still loved my old pair, but I wanted a new color and style. I waited to find them on sale, and then went for the buy! I bought the normally $165 boots for about $130. hey are still on sale at Uggs online--no coupon code necessary! They also offer free shipping and returns. Check them out here.

Then, I made sure to make my purchase through the ebates link so I could get cash back from my purchase. Ebates currently offers 4.5% cash back when you shop at Ugg Australia online. It's super easy to sign up and you even get an instant bonus when you do! Then just look up "Ugg" in the ebates search bar and click the link to the Ugg site in order to activate the cash back offer for your shopping trip! Its that easy!!! Sign up here!
